Let's Play Music Recital -

The last 3 years, Julia has been part of a piano lesson group called
Let's Play Music.
It is taught in the home of one of the greatest ladies in our ward.
Chrissy Heaston meets with the a group of about 8-9 kids every week.
The first lesson of every month, the mom's or dad's attend with the kids.
The first year is just learning beats, and simple music concepts.
The Second year digs more into the keyboard,
and by the 3rd year, the kids are playing close to level 2 music, writing their own songs,
and know quite a bit of piano theory.....higher level than I ever learned in all my years.
We have been so pleased with this program.
I am sad to see Julia having to leave Chrissy.
She is an amazing teacher and just has a way with the kids.
We now need to find a full time, regular piano teacher.
At the final recital, Julia played the piece she wrote herself, and did so well.
We are so proud of her and her touch with the piano.
I'm excited to see where she goes with this talent.
Trav and I surprised her with a new dress and necklace for the recital.
She came home from school to find it laying on her bed with a note from us.
She was so excited!
The recital was held at the Clearfield Library at 6 p.m.
(Julia and her friends Chloe Finch, Kambree Morris and Ava Teuscher)

After the recital, Julia wanted to go out for dinner.
She loves going out to eat at restaurants and we were so proud,
we couldn't deny that request!
We took the family to Red Robin to celebrate her great music year!

Sis, you are a beautiful girl with a kind heart and amazing talents.
We are so proud of you and lucky to be your parents!
Keep Tickling those Ivories!
