The last week of summer before school started, we crammed in a lot!
When school got out, a couple of the girls in the neighborhood stopped by our house.
They had made flyers to invite all the neighborhood kids to be part of an
Aladdin play they were directing and putting on.
Julia couldn't wait to be a part of it.
The first time they got together, they held tryouts.
Julia was over the moon when she was told she would be Jasmine!
They held play practice once a week for a couple of hours
the entire summer long!
The week before school started, the play was held in the Schenk's backyard.
Everyone attended for Family Home Evening.
The kids did a great job and I was so proud of Sis for putting herself out there....
especially for singing in front of everyone!
It was so cute and so fun!
Thanks Ellie Schenk and Olivia Sorenson for inviting Julia to be a part of this,
and for putting it all together!
Olivia Sorenson and Ellie Schenk - The Directors!
We also hiked with the Hamblin's to Donut Falls.
We had heard so much about this over the summer....
a guy in North Carolina even told us we should hike there!
It's up Big Cottonwood Canyon and we had never heard of it before!
It was an easy hike and so beautiful up there!
I cannot believe school is back in already!
Really weird to have one kid per school now.
Syracuse High, Syracuse Jr. High and Syracuse Elementary.
How are we old enough to have a Sophomore in High School?
The night before school started......Trav gave the kids their yearly Father's Blessing.
Austy was so excited for his turn, he couldn't wait!
He sat with his arms folded and eyes closed the entire blessing.
I love this tradition and the spirit that fills our home as Trav blesses our kids with
whatever needs their Heavenly Father feels they might have for the upcoming school year.
