Sept. 14, 2015
I keep joking with Aust that I'm going to put him in a cage and
never let him grow up!
Oh how I wish I could bottle him and keep him 4.
He is so much fun right now......he can be a spitfire, but he is so sweet as well.
He loves dinosaurs, cars, trucks, dirt, cartoons, ice cream, and torturing Bentley.
Because he is so in to dinosaurs......his Birthday was all about them!
We held his party at Uncle Brent's home, Sat. Sept. 12th,
with the whole family for an end of summer BBQ.
We missed Nate, Ally and the kids.....they had a funeral they needed to be to.
The cousins love getting together, and that always makes me happy!
Aust was so excited about it being his Birthday that he asked every
few minutes if it was time to go!
few minutes if it was time to go!
He loved every second of us singing to him, opening presents and eating an ice cream cone!
(Millie, Julia, Teag, Aust, Tenley)
When Austy is shy, or put on display (Like when we sang Happy Birthday) he grabs his ears!
Sister is one of his Best Friends! I love their little bond!
Austy watches his older Brothers all the time!
He wants to do everything they're doing!
The few weeks leading up to his Birthday,
he found Ty's football cleats from last year (Mens size 10)
and wore them ALL OVER! Every day.
He even wore them to football practice.
On our way to Uncle Brent's, we stopped by Big 5 to see if we could find any his size!
Lucky for us.....they had them....still a little big.....but nothing like he'd been wearing.
And.....they were his favorite color! BLUE.
He was so excited. He put them on immediately,
and ran all over the yard to test them out!
and ran all over the yard to test them out!
The next day they sang to him at Primary and he got to pick a prize.
His Primary teacher, Sister Sandy Hansen, even brought him a balloon and matchbox cars
to our house.....he was so excited that his "Teacha" would do that for him!
Monday, the actual day of his Birthday, I woke him up with a kiss on the cheek and said,
"Happy Birthday my Birthday Boy!"
He sat right up with a smile on his face and said, "I get 2 Birthdays?!"
Oh boy. We confused him for sure!
I called Heather and asked her if she wanted to meet us at the Dinosaur Park.
It was a little over cast and rainy, but I figured no one would be there and he would love it!
Heather and Brooklyn met us there and it was so much fun.
We were right.....no one was there.....it was perfect!
Feeding the fish and ducks and digging for gold!
We sang to Austy again that night, when the whole family was home from school and football.
He loved it so much he made us sing 2 x's!
Our doorbell rang and it was our good friends, Travis and Lisa Hamblin,
with a dinosaur toy for Austy!
He thought that was pretty great!
We were told in a Priesthood blessing from Bishop Hansen,
during our time of trial with miscarriage and being diagnosed with MS,
that the Lord would bless us with a child.
Bishop referenced this baby as a boy and said,
"He will come and he will heal your hearts!"
No truer words were spoken, and no surprise was there when we learned you were a boy.
Austy, you more than healed our hearts.
You have brought so much joy and happiness to our family.
We love you more than words can say.
Happy 4th Birthday my little boy.
