We started off November having Grandma Davies stay with us.
Uncle Brent and Barb were gone out of town for the week,
so she came to be with us, and we had the best time!
Grandma was with us for her 83rd Birthday.
During her stay, we found out that an item on her "Bucket List" was to see the Golden Spike!
That was something super easy to fulfill,
so we spent a Saturday driving out to Promontory Point to the museum there.
Grandma loved it! We finished off with dinner at Maddox in Brigham City on our way back home!
Ty Turned 15 this year......Friday, Nov. 4, 2016.
Big, fun age!
He and I spent many Sunday evenings, driving the back roads to get him some
experience driving a Stick Shift!
He'd let me finish my Sunday nap, and then he'd show up with the keys in hand,
ready to go drive for a bit!
He picked up driving a stick pretty quick!
We spent hours practicing parking and starting and stopping on little inclines!
He was so excited to get his permit!
A year ago, he looked up what day his 15th Birthday would fall on.....
it would be a Friday!
He immediately started asking me if I would check him out during the day,
and take him to the DMV to get his permit.
I told him then, that the DMV was closed on Friday's and he'd have to wait til the Monday
after his Birthday to get his permit!
That story went on for a full year!
The morning of his Birthday, his friends came at 5:30 a.m., woke him up, dragged him out of bed,
and took him to Breakfast at the IHOP in Layton.
Ty has such good friends.....Lisa Hamblin and I went with them!
He was a little late getting back to school! But it was so fun.
I ran back home, hurried and got ready, got all of the Drivers Permit Papers filled out and ready,
wrapped them up with the $20 needed to pay for it all, and took off back to the school
to surprise Ty with an early check out!
He thought I was checking him out for lunch, until he opened up his gift and realized
he was headed to take his permit test!!!!!
He passed first try and was SO excited!
He drove us back to the school......
we only had a few little hiccups and scary moments on that first Freeway drive!
Later that day, we had the
State High School Football Quarter Finals Game vs. American Fork.
Ty got to play Varsity and it was during that game, on his birthday, that he lettered in
High School Football as a Freshman! Pretty dang cool Birthday!
Next up was little Sis turning 10! What???
How is she growing up so fast?
She really wanted to have a party this year, but with everything going on....
I was a little late getting going on that.
So....the day of her Birthday, we surprised her by checking her and Olivia Harker
out for lunch at Wendy's!
We opened presents and spent time as a family that night.
The next week, we held a friend party for Sis!
It was so fun.....and a little chaotic!
Sometimes I wonder why I do these things to myself.
Trav was really busy with work, and Garrett and Ty both had basketball.
So......all by myself, we pulled off a "Cooking" Themed Party.
Each of the girls got to decorate their own apron.
Then, they rolled out and cookie cut some sugar cookies.
We opened presents, ate some cookies, and then when Trav got home,
he played Simon Says with them.
It was a fun party......but boy was I tired after! Ha ha!
Trav also celebrated his 41st Birthday!
This year, it was spent entertaining hundreds of 7th, 8th, and 9th graders at the Jr. High.
We had been secretly asked by Mrs. Holmes, the SBO advisor at the school,
to do a fun dance during the Basketball Kick off assembly, with some of the other
ball players parents as a surprise to the team!
And Boy did we SURPRISE THEM!!! Ha ha!
We surprised ourselves!
We met a couple of nights before the assembly to learn the dance,
and then we stayed hidden in the cafeteria during the assembly until it was our turn to perform!
When we came walking out and did the dance, the kids were dying!
Ty was laughing so hard he could hardly stand it!
We got a standing ovation from several of the kids! We did it for both assemblies!
No better way to celebrate Trav turning 41 than to gangster dance at a Jr. High Assembly!

Thanksgiving this year was spent at Dad Randle's House.
I look forward to this!
I go the night before and help set the table and get things ready and
really enjoy this time with my dad!
He always has music playing through the house and
it always makes it feel like the Holidays are coming!
We ate dinner with the family and then we took off to the cabin!
While we were there......we hung Christmas lights and it looks AWESOME!!!
We spent the rest of the month watching Garrett and Ty play basketball.....which I'll write about later!
