Towards the end of the school year,
I made a deal with Julia.
She has a horrible habit of biting her nails and picking scabs on her legs...
(I know......kinda gross!)
If she would let them grow out and let her legs heal,
she could go to Noelle Kelley and get her nails done for the 4th of July!
She did it and we had so much fun going on Monday, July 3rd,
to Noelle and getting her nails done!
They were SO cute and fun for the holiday!
The 4th is always a holiday I look forward to!
The boys were in the West Point Parade for the Football Team float.
Olivia Harker was staying with us while her parents were
gone picking up her brother from his mission!
We had so much fun at the parade!
Garrett soaked me and my Nikon pretty good! Stinker!!
We went home after the parade and hung out for a while,
then ordered Chicken and took off to the park in Kaysville
where we always meet my side of the family for dinner,
playing at the park, and basketball before we go to the Davis High Fireworks.
We had fun at the park and all was well,
until Austy popped up with the stomach flu at the park.
I left and went home with him to get him cleaned up and in bed.
I was bummed to miss out on the fireworks.
It's one of my favorite things, but felt it was best for me to go home with Aust.
Trav got some pics for me, so I was glad for that!
I was able to catch someones awesome firework show off of our deck,
Before the family got home!
I cannot believe the 4th of July has come and gone!
Garrett had his Priest Quorum High Adventure 2 days later through the weekend,
and Julia attended "Camp Grandma" at Grandma Hale's with Evelyn.
One of our favorite things we do each July is to go to the Cabin with
our whole Randle Family over the 24th.
- July 21-24th -
This year, the water was so high, it was hard to find any beach to hang out on for a day.
We spent one morning over by Lake Town letting the family
shoot some guns in a safe spot.
Everyone loved doing this and we were there longer than I thought we'd be!
Trav and Ty slept in hammocks of the deck a couple of the nights!
A month before we went to the Cabin,
I was able to make arrangements for a reservation for all of us
to tour the Minnetonka Caves.
That was really fun and cool to walk through.
I actually really enjoyed doing something we hadn't done before.
The rest of the family seemed to really like the caves too!
We stopped to eat at one of the spots in Garden City, and then left for the caves!
On our way back to the cabin we had to stop for shakes!
It's a must every time where all there together!
We did plenty of 4 wheeling, and Corn Hole Playing, then we held our annual
"Randle Family Shoot-out!"
I am sad to report I lost my 2 year reign this year.
Didn't even make it into the Finals.
That is not ok, and I will come back better and stronger next year!
However, Ty was the Winner this year over Uncle Chub,
in which I was quite pleased! Ha ha!
That Sunday while we were there, knowing the Chapel is always 100% full,
and we can't all sit by each other,
we held our own little meeting at the cabin.
I loved this.
Each family took time to share a little something.
Afterwards, we drove down the canyon a bit to Tony Grove.
We had never been there!
It was beautiful!
There is a walkway all around the lake that we took
and the wildflowers were out like crazy!
Such a beautiful Sunday stroll!
Sis was obviously tired in these pics.....all that yawning! Ha ha!
Late nights with cousins will do that to you!
We had the best time together!
Already Can't wait until next year!!!
It was so nice to be able to enjoy some time relaxing and enjoying the summer!
Once football starts next month things will be busy again.....
But I say bring it!
Not many things in this life compare to football season!
