We spent Labor Day at the Cabin.
We had hoped to bring Hamblin's with us....but they were not quite ready
and Janci was coming home from Snow College that weekend,
and they wanted to be with her.....rightfully so.
Garrett invited Jake Godfrey and Brooks Kokkola to come.
As usual.....we had an awesome time.
We helped Grandpa with painting the interior doors,
we brought up a skid steer and placed the gravel around the firepit area,
we relaxed, four wheeled and watched movies.
That Sunday, we ventured down to Garden City and went to church.
There were so many visitors at church that day,
that they had seats set up even on to the stage, and people watched sacrament meeting
that was broadcast to several other rooms throughout the chapel.
While we were waiting for sacrament meeting to start, a gentleman stood and asked
for several Priesthood Holders in white shirts to help pass the sacrament.
Garrett, Ty, Jake and Brooks all went to help.
They were 4 of 26 YM who helped pass the sacrament that day.
Pretty awesome sight to witness.
I had to laugh though.....not one of them remembered their church shoes.
Church is still true!
Fall was in the air.....and I loved it!
The weather was beautiful and actually a little crisp.
I love this time of year. It was a nice break after the first week of school,
and nice to help Grandpa get some things done around the cabin.
We are slowly but surely getting it all finished.
We are so grateful to Grandpa for his generosity in letting us use the cabin,
and have had so much fun helping him build it!
We love making memories there, and having a place to go vacation with the kids
whenever we can!
