Football 2014

What a season we had this year!
I'm not sure where to even start this post.
Ty's team has been the Mini-Bowl Champs the last two years,
and has gone to the Mini-Bowl the last 3.
Along with that, they hadn't lost a game since losing the Mini-Bowl 3 years ago.
This was a special Season - This one was played for Marli....
and not just Ty's team.
Many teams throughout the league raised money and donated it to the Hamblins,
and many of the teams wore Marli's initials on their helmets,
and paid tribute to their family during their games.
It was very touching to see all that took place to show love and support to our friends.

Ty's team wore teal socks, and Marli's Initials on their helmets and jersey sleeves.
Bridger Hamblin kissed his hand and touched Marli's Initials on his helmet
with every TD he made.

 They played their hearts out.
They went undefeated until the quarter final game.
We lost by one TD to Plain City.
It was devastating. More than any year.....we wanted to win the Mini-Bowl for the Hamblins.
But, it wasn't meant to be.
Bridger got a concussion in the last couple of minutes of the game
and it was all over from there.
We are so proud of this team though.
Not many teams have done, or will do what they have done.
It is not an easy task.
So proud of Ty and the player he is......he has such an aggressive talent when it comes to football.
I love watching him play the game!

Garrett's team made their first trip to the Mini-Bowl last year,
ending with a hard loss to North Ogden.
They came back this year to go undefeated to the Mini-Bowl
and WON!!!!
Nothing better than winning the Mini-Bowl and leaving the league as the Champs!
Garrett's season was special in it's own right as well.
Last year ever as that exact team.
Last year to play in the WFFL before High School
Last year playing for the coach that has taught him for the last 7 years.
I may or may not have become emotional at his last practice and at his warm up before the
Mini-Bowl!
One more blast in the face that my oldest is growing up.....at a rate I can't control!
Garrett is a super talented player as well.
Not many can tackle him and take him down.
Garrett is strong and has a mean stiff arm.....generally, if he gets the ball....he is gone!
Loved watching him play this year and looking forward to watching him in the
High School Football Scene.

Sis decorated our car for the playoffs......we all got a kick out of it!
 Warm-up Practice before the Mini-Bowl...

 It was an amazing game!
So proud of Bub.....he played incredible and was a huge part of both of our TD's!
Garrett's Team called the Hamblin family out on the field after the game,
took a knee and presented them with their season ball, signed by each of the boys.
It was a really special moment, and we were all so glad they made it to the game.
That Mini-Bowl was dedicated to Marli.....their friend and their classmate.
No doubt she was there cheering them on!

Awesome, Awesome season!

Love you Garrett and Ty. We are so proud of you!
