And now,.....everything sandwiched in between!
We started the summer right off by playing in the AAU Big Mountain Jam Tournament for 3 days in Salt Lake. Ty's Team took 1st in their division, and Garrett's took 2nd!!!
Because we were down that way, in between games we'd go mooch food, treats and loves from Gma and Gpa Davies! Sis loves to play with her Great-Grandpa - and I love to witness it!
We decided we just hadn't gotten enough Basketball, so the boys played in a 3 on 3 Tournament for West Point Days with 2 of their good buddies - Jake Godfrey and Jace Whiting.
They took 3rd overall - which is awesome considering they were playing against 7th graders!
Just when we thought our camp trips for the summer were ruined because of cancellations in June due to snow pack - we got online and just happened to get "Our Spot"
in "Our Mt. Timpanogos!" We were so excited!
This year we invited our good friends the Godfrey's.
Their kids are our kids age and play sports together, so it was great having them along to entertain each other!
Our whole family came up for Trav's famous dutch oven dinner/dessert that Sunday night. This year we were able to have Nate, Ally, Zach and new baby Charlotte with us!
We had awesome weather, and a great time!
And that's just what we had the camera around for! There were Scout Camps, Davis High Fireworks, 6 mo. check-ups at the Dentist, swimming at Gpa Burke's, camp out in tents at Gma Hale's house, barbeque's at Gma Davies, and plenty of "Late nights" with friends.
So, do we like year round? Not Sure still. However, it forces us to really enjoy the free time we have together, which isn't a bad thing at all! And....the kids have loved being back with their friends this week at school, and are really liking getting to know their new teachers!
Now for Football, cooler weather and new babies!
