May 2018 - The New December of the Year!

I swear......every year, May get's crazier and crazier!
It feels like it's busier than Christmas time anymore!
There is something every single night!

May started off with Prom Festivities!
The 3rd was the Prom Assembly at the High School.
Garrett and Ty were both asked to be involved in the "Dude Line" dance.
The Dance Line girls teach a group of boys a dance to perform.
The Cheerleaders teach a group of Dad's a dance.
Then, during the Prom Assembly, the boys face off against the Dads
and the kids at the assembly vote on who is the winner!
This was hilarious!
The dad's were actually pretty good, but I was surprised how good the boys were!
The boys maybe crossed the line a time or two and I was a little shocked,
but the kids in the audience loved it and they won by a landslide in each assembly
over the old dads!
It's fun being at these assemblies.....and I'm glad my boys are willing to participate when asked.
Not much has changed since I was in High School!

Prom was Saturday, May 5.
I'm so glad Garrett and Ty got to go together again.
Ty's first Prom and Garrett's Last.
Ty and Garrett dropped some fun treat off to their dates houses
each night that week letting them know how excited they were for prom.
We had a lot of fun coming up with some of the things!

I can't find the others at the moment, but they each left something different like this
each night of the week.
The girls loved it. At least they said they did!

The morning of Prom,
Ty woke up early, got dressed in his suit and took off to play chauffeur for his track buddy,
Nathan Kafusi.
They had planned this out at a track meet.
Ty would pick Nathan and his Prom date up at Nathan's house in our car,
and chauffeur them to their day date.
Ty took it to the next level, and got dressed up and laid out a red carpet (Our bath towel!)
Nathan and his date were dying!  They LOVED it! Ty made it so fun for them!
They started the day off by taking the girls to Kneader's for breakfast.
From there, they went to the High School where they had rented
some Human Hampster balls.
They had a blast doing this!
I ran over real quick to get a few pics and videos.
The guy they rented from stayed the whole time and ran games for them to play!

 Vandin Burriel and Gabby Segura

They ate some lunch and took the girls home to get ready for the dance,
and get ready themselves!

The kids took our car and we followed behind to the Capitol Building to get pics!
They all looked so nice!

The kids went to dinner in SLC after pics and then the dance was held
at the U of U in the suite above the football Stadium.
They went back to Kayden Argyles house afterwards and hung out for a bit.
They had the best time!
What a fun first and last prom for these two!

May 11th was a big day for Bub!
He got his Wisdom Teeth out!
And boy.....was he funny.
Some words he shouldn't have said came out in the recovery room,
and he just wanted to go home!
He also reminded me how awesome he is!
Austy couldn't not understand what the heck was up with Garrett
and why he was acting so weird.
He just kept laughing at Garrett and staring at him like he was crazy.
He was!
He actually only swelled a little and recovered pretty fast and good! Phew!

Also on May 11th, our Ward Activity Day Leaders held a Daddy Daughter night
at the church about Manners.
The girls and the dad's ate dinner and practiced eating with good manners,
and took some cute pics together!
Sis loves time alone with her dad.....she's a pretty big Daddy's girl and always has been!

Saturday, May 19th was Julia's Voice Recital.
This little beauty gets better and better each passing year.
She has so much confidence on stage it always blows me away!
You'd never know she was nervous!
She sang "Maybe" from Annie and she knocked it outta the park!
We are so very proud of you Julia!
Gpa Randle came as well, but left after Sis to sell his car.
Ty was at a football thing that morning and couldn't be with us.

Sis and her awesome voice teacher Aimee Geddes

Sunday, May 20th was a special day at our house.
Garrett was Ordained an Elder by Trav, and graduated from Seminary!
We are so thankful for the love and support he received that day.
Gma Davies was unable to be with us, she wasn't feeling well.
Wish she could have been there.
There was a sweet spirit in our home.....it was a great day!

 Garrett and Val Harker

 Garrett and Siena Morris

We love these kids!
I've had the blessing of being all of their Sunday School Teacher at one point!
They are such awesome souls and will do great things in the world!
Congrats on your Seminary Graduation!!

When Trav was Ordaining Garrett and Elder, afterwards, he encouraged him
to give his mom a blessing later that night.....
who better to give your first blessing to than your mom?
When we got home from Seminary Graduation, Garrett came and got me and
asked if he could give me a blessing.
It was a sweet night as my son placed his hands on my head and offered a blessing for me.
These are moments we live for as parents.....to know that our children are worthy and able
to advance in the Priesthood and to act on it whenever needed.
What a wonderful day in our home!

Sis had some fun field trips this month!
She got to go to the Bees game and to the Aquarium.

And Austy.....Well.....he's short 2 more teeth now.
One front tooth he accidentally swallowed while eating some cereal....
we never saw that one again! Ha ha!
The 2nd, came just a couple of days later.

Saturday, May 26th Garrett had his Senior Cotillion.
I only got this one picture!
He rode up to the Timbermine restaurant with buddies, so I didn't see him after he left.
Dinner was held at the Timbermine, then they had dancing afterward.
His last ever High School activity!
Cant believe it.

Monday, May 28th was Memorial Day.
We had our traditional Randle Family time at Grandma Randle's Grave,
then finished off with our Iceberg Shakes!

Ty spent Memorial Day with the Metcalfe family again this year
at their cabin in Island Park.
They wrecked the Mitchell's car on their way up, but luckily no one was hurt.....
except the car, dang it!
But the boys had a great time and they are loving doing this every year!

Tuesday May 29th Garrett was part of the Scholarship Assembly.
He received a $2000 Academic Scholarship from Weber State University.
He was awarded the Scholarship at the assembly held by the school.
He received a certificate from Weber State and a pin to wear at Graduation on his gown.
Gpa Randle came to support him!
We are so proud......great job Garrett!

Austy and Sis had their Spring Fling and Austy had his Kindergarten Program.

May 30th was the last day of school for Garrett and Ty.
They had their closing assembly and Garrett was asked to be part of it again.
They finished it off with the kids in Toga costumes again,
like they started for the Homecoming assembly.
I ran to that assembly before the Spring Fling, so I could see Garrett in it!
