We had a great weekend with Trav's whole family celebrating a late Father's Day for his Dad. We don't see each other much anymore, so unfortunately, I was so busy catching up, that I didn't take any pics! It was great to be with everyone...the kids sure love being with their cousins!
Family Home Evening tonight was really nice. We have planted a garden the last 3 years we have lived here, and have really loved it! The kids help plant the seeds and care for it. They have learned about working and reaping the benefits of their labors! For some reason this year, after we feritlized, weeds popped up in mounds! They were running the vegetables out! So, tonight, we put on the gloves and went to work....we couldn't believe the task we had at hand. It was hard to tell which was a weed and which was a veggie! We worked hard and got most of it cleared out, and then the sprinklers from the church stopped us from finishing, so we'll have to get back at it later. It was fun as we were cleaning up, Grandpa Randle and his dog Gus surprised us with a visit. They needed to get out of the house, so they stopped by. Garrett thought heaven had fallen in his lap and yelled, "Sweet, extra help!!" Julia screamed "Gus" and went running to them as fast as she could! We topped the night off with shakes for the kids! You definitely "Reap what you Sow" and tonight, we enjoyed the benefits of our labors together!
