Camping in the Rain!

We just returned from our annual camp trip to what we like to call "Our Mountain," Mt. Timpanogos! There is nothing like Loop B #15!! We love it there. However, this time around was a little wet, and we almost lost my Bro. Nate and Trav to a bolt of Lightning, but all in all, it was a great trip! We brought along our cousin Ethan this time and the kids loved being able to show him everything for the first time. Nate and Ella were able to come, and it was awesome FINALLY being able to have them with us. We gave Ella and Ethan a quick course in catching chipmunks and with a trail of Doritos, they were successful in a matter of minutes! (Hope none of you are Environmentalists!) No Chipmunks were harmed in the process, infact....I think they were grateful to be eating something besides acorns! Just a little tradition that Grandpa Davies started over 35 years ago! The kids love it.....and the chipmunks must too, cause they kept coming back! Trav made his awesome dutch-oven meals for us, we told great stories around the fire, hiked through beautiful trails, ate lots of treats and drank too much pop, made a run to Cabela's to avoid the rain, watched movies in the trailer and played games! It was a fun trip, but we are glad to be home and I must add.....it's nice to smell nice again! One day off to clean and get ready.....then it's off to pack for Laurel's Camp! Pray for sun!

Here's all the pics. for those with and not with us to enjoy!

I was just looking at your pictures and Cooper came up behind me! Uh-oh. He was almost in tears as he asked, "How come we didn't go?" So sorry we missed out this year. Hopefully we'll be back up there again next year with you! Or, if you end up going again, let us know...maybe Jeff will take the boys! I'm not making any promises!

Oh what a FUN time you guys must have had! Ethan hasn't stopped talking about it. When we did our highs and lows at dinner tonight he said his high for the week was getting to go camping with you guys. Thanks so much for the invite!
